Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had our lives changed in critical ways that promise to longer-lasting effects such as lifestyle and mental health disruptions.
According to the Survey on COVID-19 and Mental Health (SCMH), one in four (25%) Canadians aged 18 and older screened positive for symptoms of depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in spring 2021. But, one may raise a question that do we treat mental illness as seriously as physical diseases?

Every year since 1951, the first full week in May has been recognized as Mental Health Week by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to celebrate, protect and promote mental health.
