Globally, breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women, with approximately 2.3 million new cases reported in 2022, and this number continues to rise. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 670,000 women died from breast cancer in 2022, making it one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. By 2024, efforts to reduce mortality are still focused on early detection, expanding access to high-quality care, and advancing more effective treatments. However, projections indicate that by 2050, new cases and deaths will increase significantly, especially in low- and middle-income countries where diagnosis and treatment access remain limited.
